Coach Theresa

Coach profile, Testimonials, NMM, BAFD (1)

“One of the best parts of my job is to see potential in someone, give them the opportunity to live out their potential AND for them to also see their potential and live it out; Coach Theresa’s coaching journey here is a great example. Coach Theresa has always been a leader in our community even before she became a coach. Covid was rough for most people especially for health care workers. To have Coach Theresa find her light, her passion amongst the dark time of Covid is a great representation of what kind of human she is: passionate, caring and always wanting to improve her life by finding the light in the darkness.”

– Coach Emily, GM –

How long have you been coaching?

I have been coaching CrossFit for almost 2 years. Prior to, I coached cheerleading and gymnastics for about four years each.

Why did you start coaching?

I started coaching during the pandemic because I saw how much fun Coach Emily was having and how big of an impact she was making. It’s super fun to work on fitness, and it’s even more fun to help others on their personal journeys!

What do you enjoy most about coaching?

I love watching others succeed, and get a little bit better every day. It’s hard for people to see the amount of growth they’ve had, and I am here to remind you! You’ve come farther than you think, and are capable of so much more!

What are your coaching specialities?

I love coaching gymnastics. I like starting with the basics of arch and hollow because anyone can do it, and everyone can improve on them too!

Favorite movement to coach?

Handstands are fun to coach too! I love helping someone kick up to the wall for the first time, or get their first muscle up!

What do you love about coaching at CrossFit Lincoln?

The community is awesome. So many hard working people, cheering each other on.

What do you do outside of the gym?

I work in the Emergency Room as a PA, and am on the board of directors for the national Emergency Medicine PA organization (SEMPA).

I have two black labs and we go for walks at the dog park daily! My fiancé is in CRNA school, and we get married this August in Roca!

Fun Fact or something you would want an athlete to know about you but doesn’t fit the other questions?

I am from Upstate, NY- Syracuse to be exact.

Coach Emily and Coach Logan are actually in my wedding!

My fiancé and I were neighbors and both had black labs. Love at first site.
