Coach Ayden

Coach Ayden is the newest coach to our coaching team and comes to us with 10 year of CrossFit experience as an athlete. 

“Coach Ayden hadn’t been a member long before he came to me expressing interest in coaching. I was a little nervous at first because I hadn’t had the chance to get to know him very well yet. But once we started coach training I realized how much he actually knew about the CrossFit movements and how to coach them. I am excited to see him continue to grow over the next year as a coach and watch him find his voice so that he can take what he knows and coach the athletes in our group classes and help them reach their goals!” – Coach Emily, GM – 

How long have you been coaching? Why did you start coaching?

I started coaching Crossfit in February 2023. As a coach I wanted to share my experiences and knowledge from my background to allow others to succeed. Crossfit Lincoln allows me to share these experiences and develop a good relationship with athletes. 

What do you enjoy most about coaching?

As a coach I enjoy watching athletes come to class eager to improve and leaving with the attitude of coming in the next day. Having athletes work so hard to achieve new goals influences the people around them to follow that mindset. Watching a community come together with common goals always inspires me.

What do you love about coaching at CrossFit Lincoln?

The community itself, how everyone talks to each other and is very friendly. The organization is another plus – the gym is organized, workouts are organized, and the gym is in a good location (by main roads) and easy to get to. 

Favorite movement to coach?

Cleans have always been my favorite movement to teach. Cleaning is such a powerful and explosive movement that is fun to perform and especially PR on.

What do you do outside of the gym? hobbies/work etc.

As an individual outside the gym I am a Lab technician working on medicine for animals.

Words to potential athletes or newer athletes:

My advice for new athletes would be to step out of your comfort zone. We all have weaknesses, and stepping out of these comfort zones will allow us to improve our weaknesses.
