Abigail is one of our most consistent members in our 5am group CrossFit class. She leads the class in our strength pieces and helps push every athlete in class and cheers them at the end of her workout. Abigail’s positive and encouraging attitude is a wonderful addition to our community! We are glad she found a job in Lincoln, and her and her husband found our gym and became a part of our community!
Tell us a little about yourself. Where are you from? What do you do for a living/study? Feel free to add more.
I grew up in Sioux City, Iowa then moved to Kansas City for college where I met my wonderful husband. We moved to Lincoln, his hometown, 2 years ago now after I got my first job here as a Physician Assistant.
How did you find out about Lincoln Nutrition & Fitness?
I had dropped in for a few classes over the years while back in Lincoln for holidays. When we moved back we decided to join.
What was the biggest obstacle for you to start?
Making time to get to class (5am is early)!
How did you overcome that obstacle?
I started getting up early before I went to work!
Do you remember your first workout?
I do not remember my first workout at CrossFit Lincoln, but I do remember my first CrossFit workout ever. I was very intimidated at that first class, but now it’s one of the best parts of my day!
Who was your coach, how did they help you push through it?
Coach Emily, she encourages me to push myself, she’s the best!

How do you balance health & fitness with a busy schedule?
By making it a priority. I find if I don’t prioritize my health and fitness I end up struggling in other areas of my life as well.
