Summer is in full swing — and we love seeing you keep showing up to class, even with all the lake trips, BBQs, and holidays. Keep it up, and don’t forget to bring our community along for the ride! Whether it’s a sweaty post-WOD selfie or a snap of your crew doing something active outside the gym, tag us and let’s celebrate this season together.
Next week is Thank a Coach Week!
Our coaches do what they do because they care — about your progress, your mindset, and your wins big and small. Coaching is a passion, and sometimes a simple “thank you” means more than you think.
Here’s how you can join in and show some love:
- Snap a pic with your coach and tag us on social. No social? Just text the photo to Coach Emily.
- Write them a thank-you card. A few handwritten words go a long way.
- Buy them an LMNT after class or treat them to a post-WOD coffee — your call.
- Or choose your own way to say thanks! Whatever feels right to you.
Once you’ve done your thing, text Coach Emily to let her know which one you did so it counts toward your Bingo card!
Summer can get hot and hectic, but let’s take a moment to slow down and appreciate the people who help us grow stronger every week.
Thanks for being here — and for being the kind of community that makes this place special.
Stay sweaty,
Emily
Next Week in Programming:
This week is full-on, so scale appropriately from day one to stay consistent. Match the intended stimulus so you can keep showing up. Each day brings something different — stay mindful, keep your breath steady, and don’t forget to join us on the weekend for some well-earned yoga!
Here’s what to expect:
Monday – Shuttle runs and chest-to-bar pull-ups. Pick a pull-up variation that challenges you to complete unbroken sets of five.
Tuesday – Benchmark day: Linda. Think heavy lifting, higher volume, and a good dose of fun. Try to team up with others using similar weights, even if it’s just for one of the three lifts. Spot each other on the bench if needed. This isn’t a sprint — keep your breathing controlled and enjoy the grind.
Wednesday – Midweek partner cardio. Working out with someone else will help push you through. Expect the rower to flush out the soreness from the past two intense days. Use this session to dial in your rowing technique.
Thursday – A ring toss and wall ball combo in a gymnastics-focused interval workout. Pace your wall balls so you’ve got enough in the tank for max-effort gymnastics.
Friday – A fun dumbbell or kettlebell workout. Less skill, more grit. Expect a grindy finisher after Thursday’s high-skill gymnastics.
Saturday – Full-body partner workout with a “choose your own adventure” vibe — and yoga right after to reset and recover.
YOGA at the GYM! June 28th at 10am
CrossFit Lincoln is excited to host a yoga class on Saturday, June 28 at 10 a.m., led by CFL member and certified yoga instructor Brooke Garbison.
Brooke has been part of the CrossFit Lincoln community since Summer 2021 and has been teaching yoga since earning her RYT 200-hour certification in 2017.
This 45-minute, beginner-friendly class is designed to support CrossFit athletes by focusing on breathwork, body awareness, and intentional movement. It’s a great way to aid recovery, improve mobility, and bring balance to your training. Whether you’re brand new to yoga or just in need of a good stretch, this class will leave you feeling rested and refreshed.
Bring a yoga mat if you have one, some will be provided. No experience necessary. All are welcome!
June 29th – Join Coach Aaron for Carries, Carbs, and Coffee, an hour for fitness and connection for June Men’s Mental Health awareness month!
830am Workout with Coffee + Carbs Hangout to follow for the men of the gym.
Join Coach Aaron for a low-key morning built around movement, connection, and carbs with a group of great guys!
We’ll kick things off at 8:30am with a simple, inclusive carry-focused workout—think farmer’s carries, overhead, sandbags—no pressure, just movement. The carries are symbolic of what many men hold silently: the mental and emotional loads we carry but rarely talk about. Followed by some coffee and carbs! This part is about slowing down, connecting, and refilling your cup—literally and figuratively. Sign up on Wodify as you would for a class. If you have a friend you would like to bring reach out to us for a link!
July 4th – Open gym 12pm-1pm to test anything you would like for the longevity levels with Coach Theresa!
July 12th – run a 5k with us for the Cornhusker State Games! Use the code 20FLEETFEET25 to save!
August 16th – Team Fitness Competition to raise money for our Adaptive Athletes

We are partnering with BlocLife, Inc. and the Down Syndrome Association for Families of Nebraska, is proud to host our 4th Annual Team Competition on Saturday, August 16, 2025, starting at 8 AM! 🙌
This isn’t just about fitness—it’s about breaking barriers, building community, and showing the world that fitness truly is for EVERY body. Our adaptive athletes are nothing short of incredible—and this day is all about celebrating their strength, resilience, and the power of inclusion.
Compete in teams of two with Team Divisions for all levels!
Through your support, we expand access to inclusive programming with classes for athletes with intellectual, developmental, and mobility disabilities. Together, we’re creating a community where everyone can thrive through movement.

Note: There has been confusion in years past, so hopefully this helps! You can partner with anyone you want of any skill level. This is a competition to raise awareness for our adaptive athlete program you do NOT have to partner with an adaptive athlete.
