All new members are required to complete 8 CrossFit Basics sessions before joining our regular CrossFit classes. In these sessions, you’ll learn all the basics of CrossFit, including movements, lingo, and the philosophy of this life-changing fitness program. Sessions last 30-60 minutes and are scaled to your particular fitness level and goals. Your first month’s membership includes a mobility screening from Synergy Chiropractic and a personal log book to track your progress.
Any new member that’s transferring from another CrossFit affiliate may be asked to join 4 CrossFit Basics sessions. The purpose of this is for us to assess your skills and bridge any gaps between the training you’ve received previously and the programming you’ll receive at CFL. Based on the CrossFit prescription of “constantly varied functional movement executed at high intensity,” our CrossFit program combines strength training with the “classic” CrossFit cardio workout. For this 1-hour class, you could be working on pull-ups, rowing, burpees and much more. Every WOD is different so you never get bored! Our certified trainers scale each workout to your fitness level, so you get the maximum workout every time.
CrossFit Kids is not simply a scaled down version of CrossFit. It is entirely, absolutely designed for a special population and their developmental needs (neurological, cognitive, motor). CrossFit Kids teaches children ages 3-18 the principles of mechanics, consistency and intensity in working out. CrossFit Kids provides children with physical literacy, enhanced sports performance, and fewer sports injuries. Also, scientific research proves that exercise benefits cognitive function. So your little athlete will do better on the field and in the classroom.
Our Personal Coaching programs offers our members valuable one-on-one coaching for individuals looking to ramp-up their fitness with personalized instruction, which can vary from help on olympic lifts, gymnastics, endurance or personal training. Your coach will tailor workouts specifically for your current fitness level and progress you at the proper pace!
