The Habits Challenge at CrossFit Lincoln: Start 2025 Strong

At CrossFit Lincoln, we’re kicking off 2025 with a challenge designed to help you clean up your lifestyle, fix your metabolism, and gain mental clarity. We believe that real, lasting change begins with your habits, and we’re here to help you build the right ones.

The habits you form today shape the person you become tomorrow. Our goal is to support you in building sustainable, healthy routines with the power of coaching and a peer group that’s got your back.

The Habits Challenge

Here’s what we’re doing together:

  • 0 Foods & Beverages with added Sugar
  • 0 Alcohol
  • 8 hours of sleep
  • 1 gallon of water a day
  • 10,000 steps a day
  • 4 classes a week continued (not included on the tracking sheet)

None of these habits are easy—but that’s why we’re tackling them as a community. Those first few days without sugar might be tough, but you’ll have the group to hold you accountable and cheer you on. (video)

More information on how to approach the challenge and how to be successful:

To be truly successful with a habit challenge, it’s important to have a clear strategy in place. Start by setting realistic and attainable goals that align with your lifestyle. Break the challenge into smaller steps and celebrate small wins along the way—they’ll keep you motivated. Use tools like habit tracking apps or simple pen-and-paper charts to monitor your progress daily.

Another key factor is leveraging the power of community. Engage with others participating in the challenge, whether through a private group, gym friends, or even a family member who joins you in the effort. Sharing experiences, tips, and encouragement creates accountability and helps you stay committed.

Think beyond the challenge. A habit challenge is a starting point—a way to reset and build momentum. The ultimate goal is not just to complete the challenge but to identify habits worth sustaining for life. Reflect on what worked for you and what didn’t during the challenge. Then, create a plan to incorporate those habits into your daily routine moving forward.

Remember, the challenge isn’t about perfection. It’s about progress and creating a foundation for long-term growth. If you focus on small, consistent improvements, you’ll find that the habits you develop during the challenge can lead to a healthier, more fulfilling lifestyle.
